The second project hiding in a throwaway line.
Camille runs solo strategy engagements. Her Lemaire workshop ran ninety minutes and went everywhere, five stakeholders, three tangents, the usual beautiful mess. The kind of session where the real signal drowns in the noise by the time you sit down to write it up.
Forty minutes in, a stakeholder said, almost in passing: “Honestly, we'll probably need this whole thing for the EU rollout too.” Everyone moved on. Camille, mid-facilitation, didn't clock it. That's a second engagement, not small talk. Flagged it, raise it before you send the recap.
By the time the call ended, I'd drafted her recap deck, assigned the five next steps, and put the EU comment at the top as an opportunity. Camille mentioned it in her follow-up that afternoon. It became a second contract, one she'd have left on the table, buried under her own notes.
HeidiI didn't win her the second project. I just made sure she heard the client offer it.
