anatomy of a question that saved a call
Lina had ninety seconds and no idea what she'd promised.
Back-to-back calls, and the next one was an account she hadn't touched in six weeks. She had ninety seconds between meetings and a vague memory of committing to something. Somewhere there was a recap that would tell her. Not in ninety seconds.
So she asked, out loud, walking: “What did we promise NorthBeam?”
A 30-day pilot, with security sign-off first. You committed to it six weeks ago with Marc. Sofia has to approve it, and the security page still hasn't gone out.
Not a search result. An answer, with the meeting attached, the person attached, and the thing she'd forgotten to send sitting right there as an open task.
Lina opened the call with the pilot and the security page in the same breath. Marc assumed she'd been across it all along. She'd found out ninety seconds earlier, in a corridor, without opening a single tab.
